WEEE/RoHS Compliance Position Statement
It is LTX-Credence's desire to meet and exceed our customers’ needs with respect to the European Union’s 2002 Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and the international communities’ Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directives.
As a Semiconductor Test Equipment producer of “large-scale stationary industrial tools,” LTX-Credence product is exempted from the WEEE and European RoHS directives under section 6, Annex 1B of the WEEE Directive until 2016.
Nonetheless, LTX-Credence is actively working with our supply chain to ensure that WEEE/RoHS-compliant materials are used wherever commercially reasonable.
Moving forward, LTX-Credence will continue to apply internal resources, expertise and our close partnership with customers and suppliers to align with the WEEE and RoHS directives as fully as possible while maintaining an uninterrupted supply of quality products.
We will continue to examine and analyze all plans for product development to align with the principles of the WEEE and RoHS directives and ensure LTX-Credence remains in compliance with the staggered implementation of these principles across the international community.
